Overall, more than 1000 seafarers work on the vessels managed by Navigazione Montanari in a year. The crew comprises Italian, Indian, Rumanian, Bulgarian and Croatian seafarers. Their professionalism, sound judgment, self-discipline and dedication ensure the efficient and safe use of our principals’ vessels, as well as the prompt and safe transportation and delivery of cargoes. The protection and well-being of the ship, the crew, the cargo and the marine environment are major considerations for anyone working on board.
New recruits are carefully selected and along with experienced crew members undergo an extensive and continuous training program, both ashore and on board. Prior to embarkation seafarers receive a detailed briefing on technical, operational, crew-related, and safety and quality-related matters. Crew recruitment, training and scheduling are supported by a dedicated marine personnel team in our head office in Fano, as well as by IMS – Mumbay
